"Ticks of the Trade" Seminar
This is a transcript of a seminar on Futures Trading given by Adam
Hartley of SnapDragon Systems. The audience was a mixture of newcomers
to futures trading and traders with some experience. The first two and
the last sections were aimed mainly at beginners whereas the rest of the
talk is more advanced.
The talk was broadly divided up into the following sections:
Why futures are different What makes trading
futures different from trading equities.
Markets to Trade Comments on trading the various
LIFFE futures markets.
The Market Test Discussion of the concept of
how the market will test key areas of support and resistance and how the
strength of the market can be gauged by this test. Examples of different
support and resistance levels are given
Practial Trading Practical tips on trading.
Example Trades Examples of trades that incorporate
some of the ideas that have been discussed.
Advice for beginners Some tips for those who
are starting out.
